When standard broadband just isn’t enough

Mobile phone networks are finally reaping the rewards of their 3G networks in the UK. As demand for more traditional contract phones diminishes, mobile broadband is filling the void, ensuring the mobile marketplace remains buoyant. Another observation is that as the demand for the standard mobile phone contract reduces, there has been a marked increase in pay as you go mobile phone sales and although they are not as profitable, they also help to keep the market in a growth period at this difficult time.

In the previous years, portability is always an issue that developed laptops which dominated computers. Memory space was also a major problem. This is the reason why programs for compressing files such as WinZip and WinRAR are developed and memory expansion technologies were also invented.

Space and portability will no longer be a problem with LG’s new portable hard-drives that will come in the stylish gradient texture black pearl and wine red colors. The XD1 portable HDD, a 2.5 inch hard drives has SATA II interface with a USB 2.0 E-SATA port that can transfer files with a speed of up to 480mbps.

However the date of release as well as the price of these portable and stylish hard drives is not yet disclosed. But these will definitely a big hit in the market because these units will arrive in 120GB, 160GB, 250GB and 320GB memory sizes.

LG’s XD1 is expected to make a good competition with Western Digital portable hard drives although it does not come in as much colors as the WD portable HDDs. Portable hard drives is now becoming the best way to resolve memory space problems, and allow you to browse or work faster using your laptop or PC.

It has different branches all over the world that focuses on the research and development of innovative technologies such as laptops and mobile phones. This year, Toshiba introduced its G810 touchscreen that is very similar to HTC Touch. This Smartphone is a Windows Mobile phone in the stylish form.

It has Windows Mobile 6 and “supports both HSDPA and HSUPA on 250, 1900 and 2100 MHz bands of global roaming”. Also included in its features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a video capable 3 megapixel camera that’s equipped with auto-focus.

It also has a 64 thousand color 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, FM radio, an internal memory of 256 MB and a built-in GPS or A-GPS. Its battery can last up to 4 hours talk time and up to 8 days of standby time.

Overall, this smartphone looks great and the size and weight are just right. The features are also great especially its touch-friendly software. However, the incoming call volume is a bit too soft and sound quality is not as good as other HTC PDA phones. Speaker for the music is also not that good enough.
