Apple Develops 10.8-inch iPad and 9-inch iPad Mini iPhone SE has proved popular among Apple consumers and Apple users who are looking for smaller-sized smartphones since it was officially launched. Now, Apple wants to apply a similar strategy for the iPad line.

Citing the Phone Arena, the Ming-Chi Kuo analyst reveals in recent records to investors that Apple is developing an updated version of its affordable iPad. Apple is called targeting the launch of this new tablet in the second half of 2020, estimated simultaneously with iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.

One of the main differences, when compared to the models currently available on the market, is on its screen. Apple increased the screen size from 9.7 inches to 10.2 inches on devices released last September.

Apple is now planning to deliver larger devices. Kuo calls that the technology giants based in Cupertino are preparing a 10.8-inch screen for his new tablet.

Apple’s current supplier, GIS, is reported to be the primary touch panel supplier for this device thanks to the cost-effective advantages it offers when compared to competitors ‘ suppliers. But information regarding Apple’s plans to achieve this larger screen size is still not available.

Apple is expected to increase dimensions but still retain the bold bezel size and Home button, or switch the iPad design to a wide-screen design with a thinner-sized bezel. In addition, there are also rumors related to Mini-LED technology, although it is expected to experience delays of up to 2021 similar Mini-LED lines.

Kuo mentions that the iPad 10.8 inches will adopt a similar strategy iPhone SE, with the main selling value which is more affordable price and a newer chipset. It is in tune with rumors that call it will adopt the A12 Bionic chipset.

Apple is also reported to be presenting iPad Mini in conjunction with iPad lines. Kuo mentions that the announcement for this device is scheduled in the first half of 2021, meaning that this device can be announced at the annual March event or at the WWDC in June.

As an information, the iPad Mini that is currently available in the market was introduced in March 2019 with a screen size of 7.9 inches. However, the latest version is expected to come with a larger screen size of 9 inches.

In its efforts to maintain a small size dimension, Apple is expected to introduce the new iPad Mini with its wide-screen design and thinner-sized bezel.
