Today the smartphone market has not been much livened up by 108MP-resolution cameras, although brands such as Samsung and Motorola have joined Xiaomi in the list of phones with the support of the camera resolution.
Today, the latest report says that Huawei has also joined the list through a series of smartphones on the Mate 40 line. This information was presented by a Chinese technology blog titled ITHome, as Gizmochina quoted.
The source of this informer is referred to as the staff of Huawei’s supplier chain, and according to the source, there is a new 108MP sensor with better performance compared to smartphones currently available in the market.
In addition, the report calls this 108MP camera sensor going to support at Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40. This camera Sensor is called to be using a 9P lens and claimed to be able to produce the image better when compared to other 108MP sensors, such as the Mi Note 10 Pro with an 8P.
This report also mentions that this camera on Huawei is armed with customization and other optimizations but does not explain more details. Starting from the Huawei P30 series, the flagship Huawei phone comes with a dedicated camera with RYYB color filter.
This filter can capture more light when compared to an RGB filter. But until the detailed information about the device is revealed, it is still not ensured that the 108MP sensor on Huawei devices also use the color filters RYYB.
The Huawei Mate 40 series is also expected to be powered by a 5nm chipset titled Kirin 1000, and is different from the Mate 30 series, the Mate 40 series will not be present in 4G variant when greeting the consumer in the coming month of October.
Previously, Huawei officially announced the presence of Huawei P40 + and Huawei P40 in the Indonesian market. This Smartphone features more sophisticated claimed camera quality compared to predecessor generation models.
Meanwhile, Huawei is reported to be switching to the chip designer MediaTek to purchase its most powerful 5G chip. Ironically, MediaTek also entrust the chip manufacturing process to TSMC, and embed their brand before selling it to Huawei.
Reports circulating in China refer to MediaTek representatives stating the company will not violate the law or compromise regulations by selling TSMC chips to Huawei.
However, Huawei and MediaTek are reported to be discussing to supply Huawei with Dimensity chipset. The Dimensity Chipset is reported to include an integrated 5G modem chip.
