SEGA Game Gear Micro, Is It Too Small?

In order to enliven 60 years of SEGA, the Japanese gaming company introduced a new handheld game console. SEGA Game Gear Micro is very small.

SEGA Game Gear itself is their legacy handheld gaming console. Originally Game Gear was launched in 1990 ago in Japan and 1991 in North America.

Now, in commemoration of the 60-year-old SEGA, the handheld game consoles are revived in a fairly small new form.

With the name SEGA Game Gear Micro, the device appears to be small enough to Digemgaman hand. Nevertheless, it is still able to play games.

The micro name in this show really shows how tiny it is. SEGA Game Gear Micro has dimensions of only 80 mm x 20 mm x 43 mm.

SEGA Game Gear Micro itself comes in four color options. Black, blue, yellow, and red. In each color, it has different game contents.

In this tiny handheld game console, there are already four games installed. What games are available in it? Here’s the list:

  • Black: Outrun, Puyo Puyo Tsu, Royal Stone, and Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Blue: Raw raw Animal: Sekai Shiikugakari Senshuken, Gunstar Heroes, Sonic & Tails, Sylvan Tale
  • Yellow: Nazo Puyo: Arle no Roux, Shining Force, Shining Force II, Shining Force: Final Conflict
  • Red: Columns, The G.G. Shinobi, Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible, Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special

For those who bought a fourth set of colors, SEGA provided a bonus accessory Big Windwo Micro. Ie a magnifying glass as in Game Gear in the past.

SEGA Game Gear itself will be marketed in Japan on October 6, 2020 upcoming. Which will be appreciated 4,980 yen.
